'Our life' blog

We look forward with love and curiosity to Your story, what you wish to share.

This blog is a collection of stories and events that happen to you, to us, in our lives. These events are sometimes special, sometimes quite ordinary. From time to time we experience inexplicable and special things; things that give us hope and call our attention to the fact that there is something else in our world than what this more and more materialistic system sinking more and more into matter wants to show us.

It always feels good to share with others what happens to us, because it gives our lives a deeper meaning.

On the other hand, reading the life stories of others gives us new ideas and thoughts. They can give us more strength, hope and good feelings; and they definitely enrich our view of the world.

"Shadow and Light: The Zala Forest Mystery That Chilled a Family"

We were heading to visit my parents in Zalaegerszeg with two small children, a three-year-old and a two-year-old. A long, tiring journey lay behind us. About 40 km from Zalaegerszeg, we stopped to stretch our legs a bit. The forests of Zala are lush, with many chestnut trees and beautiful glades. The nature there is so wonderful, almost magical. The kids were asleep in their seats, so we could just relax and inhale the crisp scent of the forest. We were listening to the rustling of the leaves in the gentle wind, and just enjoying the pleasant silence and peace.

Suddenly, we felt goose bumps all over the body and a very bad feeling came over us. At the same time a scaring force, physically sensible, kept us pushing away from the car. The headlight of the car got suddenly switched on, which could only have happened if the key had been turned in the ignition. Our first thought was that the kids had somehow managed to get out of their seats and had started the car. We began running towards the car but it wasn’t that simple because our feet felt like made of lead. When we got to the car, which was maybe 20 meters away, we saw that the kids were deeply asleep, strapped in. But then who had switched on the headlights, and who had turned the key?

The feeling was uncomfortable, filled with icy fear. ‘Run! – Run!’, it echoed in our heads. We ripped open the door, jumped into the car and drove away as fast as we could.

We travelled in silence for a while. Only when we reached the edge of the town did that paralyzing weird feeling pass. We don’t know what it could have been. Later we heard that several strange things had happened in that place…

"The Day the Universe Whispered: A Child's Encounter with a Mystical Lion"

I still remember very clearly what happened one day when I was around 7 years old. It was summer, pleasantly warm, before the school start in autumn. The good weather lured me out to the yard to play. After a while, I felt a weird sensation and looked towards the street gate of our house and went towards it.

Suddenly, I heard loud, rhythmic music around me. At the gate, which was open, there was a big lion sitting. It didn’t come close to me; I must have stood around 10-15 meters away from it. As I looked into its eyes, it seemed like it wanted to say something. The big lion shone with a bluish-golden light, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Its body had an out-of-this-world consistency; it was a kind of translucence, almost transparent. It felt like I had stepped into another dimension. As I looked into the lion’s loving eyes, its gaze commanded respect and authority.

As I didn’t know what to think about what was happening, I ran into the house and just waited to see what would happen. I still heard the sound for a while. A little bit later I went out to the yard again. The lion was not there anymore. But the memory, the feeling and the sound stayed with me for the rest of my life.

It took me more than 3 decades to get an understanding and explanation for the special, unforgettable lion’s appearance. It reminded me of my origin…
